Growing the Team Behind Line-Up

June 4, 2026

By Chris Crosley, COO at Line-Up

2025 was a period of huge growth for Line-Up, and as we've grown, we've been strengthening the team around us.

Team growth isn't a goal in itself. In an industry that never stands still, we hire carefully - building a team that allows us to be responsive to our clients, continually improving our platform and services. With that in mind, I'm delighted to introduce four people who have joined us recently and are already making a real impact.

Supporting our clients

Anyone who has worked in ticketing knows that technology is only part of the picture. The people behind it matter just as much.

That's why we’ve welcomed Ed Chalkley as our first Account Manager.

Ed joins us with experience on both sides of the industry. Before moving into ticketing platforms, he spent three years as Box Office Supervisor for the London Theatre Company at the Bridge Theatre and previously worked as Box Office Manager at Arts Club Theatre Company in Vancouver.

Ed has spent enough time in box offices to know what a busy on-sale feels like, what can go wrong, and what clients need from their ticketing partner when things get hectic. That experience gives him a practical understanding of the challenges our clients face day to day.

As for why he joined Line-Up, the answer is simple:

"Theatre is where my heart has always been. Being able to return to the industry while working with a company at the forefront of modern ticketing is incredibly exciting."

Having someone who understands both venue operations and ticketing technology is a huge asset.

Building a better experience

Shruti Dange joined the team as our first dedicated Product Designer.

This is an important step for Line-Up. As the platform grows, we want to ensure that it is consistently well designed, making it easy, clear and a joy to use for everyone.

Shruti brings more than five years of experience across user experience and product design, most recently as Senior UX Designer at Capita. Throughout her career she has led user research, championed accessibility and helped teams create products that work better for more people.

For us, that means spending more time listening, learning and understanding how people actually use Line-Up day to day, then turning those insights into meaningful improvements.

Shruti was drawn to the role after discovering a love of theatre shortly after moving to London.

"I love that I'm learning so much about this ticketing industry that seems simple on the surface but is actually so complex. That's what makes every designed feature more rewarding."

We're excited to see that curiosity and enthusiasm shape the next generation of experiences across the platform.

Strengthening our engineering team

We're also pleased to welcome two new Software Engineers, Nader Tak and Yurii Merker.

Nader joins us from Darktrace, where he worked on systems used by thousands of customers around the world. He brings a thoughtful approach to problem-solving and a real curiosity about how things work.

He also took a slightly less traditional route into software engineering, graduating with a First Class degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Leeds. Building good software starts with understanding people, communicating clearly and thinking carefully, all skills that translate perfectly.

Nader was particularly attracted by the opportunity to support live entertainment.

"In a world where entertainment is becoming more and more digitally facilitated, it's nice to be part of a company that supports the arts in one of their rawest forms. There's a certain something about theatre that can't really be replicated online."

I think many of us would agree with that sentiment.

Joining him is Yurii, who brings five years of experience building high-traffic backend systems. He has particular expertise in payments, cloud infrastructure and the kind of behind-the-scenes systems that need to work reliably every single time.

Reliability is a core pillar for us at Line-Up. Yurii's experience will help us continue building a platform our clients can depend on.

Yurii has spent his first few months working on the platform and the challenges that come with operating at scale.

"I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of building high-load systems that power a reliable ticketing experience I’m excited to see how we can continue to push things forward as we grow our client base and continue to power some of the world’s largest on sales”.

He's already helping us make sure our systems stay fast, reliable and ready to handle demand when it matters most.

Looking ahead

Every new hire should make a difference to the people we work with.

For our clients, that means responsive support from people who understand ticketing, a platform that's a joy to use, and an engineering team focused on continual improvement.

For us, it means having the right people in place to keep improving what we do and how we do it.
